SWAN FOREVER YOU WILL BE...
Based on the story of Swan Lake, “Swan forever you will be…“ is a new vision of this popular story; starting with the original version and changing gradually to something more contemporary and actual. The change appears first in the story, then slowly take place in the music and finally in the quality of movement and in the decisions made about spacing.
To write the story I used elements of the tales (Stolen veil & The white duck) used to create the original version of Swan Lake. The end could be tragic or happy, but we chose to use the tragic one.
For the choreography we look at the characteristic of swans in real life: Strength, Beauty, Wingspan… and in fairy tale: Naivety, Elegance, Innocence.
The music is a research done by Desmond Clarke on the restructuring of the Tchaikovsky’s music to get a shorter version focused on the important of the story and on the aspect of variation in time ici pour modifier.
